ENGAGING WOMEN WINS AWARD

And in news just in… our community continues to make a positive impact in the world. We get it done!

Engaging Women has just won the White Ribbon NIght ‘highest women’ fundraising award!

This just landed in my inbox from the White Ribbon Foundation Marketing Manager Eliza Arrowsmith.

As mentioned on the night it was no mean organisational feat, you guys rallied your tribes to make a fabulous night of it at very short notice.

It showed what a compassionate community is all about and how well women can network!

We hate hearing the statistics that one woman is killed by her partner in this country every week.

We also hate feeling disempowered. This money will go towards educating boys. It works through primary prevention initiatives involving raising awareness and education, and programs with youth, schools, workplaces and across the broader community. Globally, White Ribbon is the world’s largest male led movement to try and make a difference.

White Ribbon’s Eliza Arrowsmith says,

“On behalf of White Ribbon we thank the women in the Engaging Women community for their exceptional contribution to the White Ribbon campaign.

It’s been a pleasure working with you and the campaign bears witness to the input of so many wonderful people, you all amongst them! “

The event drew women from across media including The Panel and The Herald Sun, we had netball teams, artists, designers and many women who have shared their stories on this blog.

Can’t thank you enough for you support, here are some of the beauties who turned up and made a difference.
